But before you head out, keep in mind that you will often find good deals at large discount stores and warehouse stores or from mail order companies. There are also a number of companies offering more specialized supplies, many of which also build customized rods to the specifications of your choice.

But whatever you do, make sure you find a rod you are comfortable with and that has the right specifications for the type of fishing you will use it for and stick with it!
